The Visiting Nurse Association of NWI (VNA) proudly announces its approval of accreditation status by Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for hospice care.
Achieving accreditation is a process where healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. Accreditation by ACHC reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care.
ACHC is a not-for-profit organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986. ACHC is ISO 9001:2008 certified and has CMS Deeming Authority for Home Health, Hospice and DMEPOS.
“Accreditation is a review process that allows us to demonstrate our ability to meet predetermined criteria and standards of accreditation established by a professional accrediting agency. It represents agencies as credible and reputable organizations dedicated to ongoing and continuous compliance with the highest standard of quality. Achieving accreditation demonstrates that we continuously strive for excellence and we have achieved compliance with rigorous national quality standards and requirements for hospice and inpatient hospice services. This in turn provides our patients and families with peace of mind knowing their loved ones are in very capable hands,” says VNA President and CEO Ann O’Heir.
