Phoenix Center for Grief

VNA Hospice NWI believes that providing grief support offers individuals the opportunity to connect, receive emotional support, validation, and education about grief and loss in a confidential and peer supported environment.

Phoenix Center for Grief offerings

  • Walking Together Through Grief - a six-week, cohort style series for adults that combines education with open discussion on grief and loss, finding coping strategies, and more.
  • Phoenix Rising - provides specialized peer-based activity groups for children, teens, young adults, and their families, based on the internationally acclaimed Dougy Center model and membership in the National Alliance for Children’s Grief. Through a variety of fun and age-appropriate activities, specially trained staff and volunteers help youth and families connect, learn and practice coping skills, express their feelings, and tell their stories.
  • First Friday Club - coffee, cookies, and grief sharing.
  • Memorial services and remembrance events.
  • Referrals to partner agencies for additional support
  • VNA Hospice NWI Grief Support Facebook group
